What Sells

I was asked a question today that I could not answer. Why?

The question had to do with ceramics and what I thought would be good sellers. The problem is, for most of us working with a region, the region itself tells us that. Every area is different.

What sells really well in OK, may not see the light of day in WA. What I’m saying is this…every state and every area within a state, has it’s own flavor and tourism. Padre Island sells a lot of sea shell crafts, while Washington D.C. I’m sure sells a lot of crafts with historic flavor and San Antonio, designs that favor the Alamo.

Step outside of the regional flavors and you’ve got just plain old ‘art’. Either you follow the tourists or you develop your own taste and designs and take the chance that the public will see the artistic value as much as you do.

So in truth, that’s a hard question to answer. There are no hard and fast rules to follow.

It would be nice to have some comment here, telling us what is favorable in your neck of the woods.

What’s more, installing a Wordpress program is automatic. You could [...]

Here is the post in its entirety.
So you’re thinking [...]
