He Comes He comes in the night. He has come to me in the night. He has come to me when I cry. At times, He has even come to me just to share in the joy of a sunset. I have felt His warm blanket of love. I have even felt, with physical senses, His passing by. I have even felt Him brush the back of my neck, when I least expected. I have felt His presence in church. I have felt His presence while driving. I have been visited by Him, in the night while I drift off to sleep. I'm never alone but I don't always notice. When the world is crushing in on you and you feel like you can't take another step, why is it you forget your need to be refilled by Him? Sometimes it's up to you to remember Him and ask. He never waits,he comes immediately. Sometimes you feel as though you are not alone. Sometimes you feel a sudden release of all the pressures. Sometimes you have a feeling of being safe. Sometimes you just know that all is suddenly well. Sometimes you sense Him so close, the desire to reach out and touch is overwhelming. And then there are those special times when He deliberately brushes your arm or your face so that you might know He is there is person. Remember Him when you're tired. Remember Him when you're sad and broken. Go alone, into your prayer closet and speak sweet nothings in His ear. He will speak sweet nothings back to you. He will give you peace. Why do we forget? Why do we become so busy that we go for days, knowing we are drained and still doing nothing about it? He misses you. Judy Sims |
