A HOME OF
LOVE
“Let not your heart be
troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions:
if it were not so, I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be
also.”
I watched a
family program on television last night.
They were expecting a baby and had decided to decorate a room for the new
baby. They hired a professional
decorator and paid him a lot of money to design and furnish the room. After the room was finished, the dad
stood in the doorway and told the decorator “It’s beautiful”. I believe when Jesus decorates our
hearts with His love that our Heavenly Father looks down from Heaven and says
“You are beautiful”.
One day God
looked down and saw the condition that our hearts were in and He was moved with
compassion for us and wanted us to be happy and set free from sin. He decided to decorate our hearts with
His unconditional love, mercy, tenderness, and forgiveness so He sent Jesus to
be our decorator. It cost our
Heavenly Father all that He had to decorate our hearts, His own beloved Son.
Jesus was
crucified on that cruel cross and He paid the debt for us that we could never
pay. It is only by accepting Jesus
as our personal Saviour and the sacrifice that He made that our hearts are
decorated with His unconditional love, happiness, joy and peace. Not only is He decorating our mansions in
Heaven; He is also decorating our hearts with compassion for others. He takes our sin hardened hearts and
melts them into softened hearts so that He can use us as His vessels of
unconditional love to one another.
What condition
is your heart in today? Have you
allowed Jesus to decorate your heart with His mercy, compassion, forgiveness,
grace and unconditional love? Have
you bowed your knees and heart at the feet of Jesus and invited Him into your
heart to be your personal Saviour?
Jesus paid a tremendous price for your salvation. Don’t let all the suffering that He
endured for you be in vain. Say
“yes” to Jesus right now and ask Him to forgive you and come into your heart to
be your personal Saviour.
He was rejected,
tortured, abused, spat upon, cursed, and mocked for you. He was beaten beyond recognition. He endured all of that pain for you
because He loves you so much. I
plead with you to invite Him into your heart to be your personal Saviour. He will give you a joy and peace that
you have never known. He will never
leave you, not even for one minute.
He will never be too busy to talk to
you.
There is no
friend like Jesus! No one loves us
like Jesus loves us. I have many
friends who love me and I love them but if all of my friends were to withdraw
their friendship from me, I have a friend who will never leave me and His name
is Jesus. Is it any wonder that I
love Him so much and will serve Him as long as He gives me breath? I give you my dearest and most precious
friend, Jesus.
