A BUSY
SIGNAL
“Moreover the word of
the Lord came unto Jeremiah the second time, while he was yet shut up in the
court of the prison, saying, Thus saith the Lord the maker thereof, the Lord
that formed it, to establish it; the Lord is his name; Call unto me, and I will
answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest
not.”

Jesus is never
too busy to talk to us. We never
get a busy signal when we call Him.
He is always available to listen to our problems and our concerns. However, many times when He calls us, He
gets a busy signal. I don’t think
we mean to ignore Him but we get so involved in our jobs, our schedules, our
families and other things that we can’t even hear Him when He calls
us.
We wonder why we
have so many problems and heartaches.
If we would ever understand with our hearts that Jesus must have the
first priority in everything that we do, I believe we would live a more peaceful
life. He also must come before our
families, our friends and everyone else.
We read in the Bible “But seek ye first the
Not only have we
become so caught up in ourselves that we can’t hear Jesus when He calls us; we
sometimes don’t even have any time during the day to call Him. There are people whose lives revolve
around schedules and if they don’t schedule a time for Jesus, they sometimes
find themselves going through the entire day without even thinking about Him,
much less calling Him. I don’t
think they mean to ignore Jesus; they just are too busy.
Thank You,
Jesus, that You are never too busy to answer us when we call You. Indeed, You are there every time that we
call You and we never have to wait to talk to You. Please help us to realize that when
we’re so busy that we don’t even hear You when You call us that it hurts
You. Help us to put You first in
our lives before everything and everyone.
Thank You for Your faithfulness to us. Place a burning desire in our hearts to
make You the first priority in our lives.
Thank You for never putting us on hold. You are the great I Am, the bright and
morning star, the beautiful Rose of Sharon and the Saviour of the world. To You belongs all the glory both now
and forever.
Amen.
